AustLit
AustLit is the outcome of the sustained passion for Australian stories from a vast number of researchers, indexers, bibliographers, and developers.
We would like to thank all of current team members, based at The University of Queensland. They are a testament to the passion, enthusiasm and skill with which AustLit has always been blessed in its team members, and a constant example of what can be done with a small but dedicated team.
With particular thanks to those who kindly sent through their memories of working with AustLit, we also offer our thanks to our former team members and researchers, all of whom are central to the development of AustLit into the unique resource it is.
We encourage people to explore our Research page, where you can see in more detail the range of projects that AustLit has undertaken and the people involved in each one.
Without past funding and partners, we would never have reached twenty years. We thank them all for their past and ongoing support.
AustLit has always been supported by a committed and engaged Committee. We would like to particularly thank the current advisory committee: Professor Bronwyn Lea, Professor Anita Heiss, Associate Professor Stephen Carleton, Associate Professor Anna Johnson, Dr Natalie Collie, Simon Farley (Fryer Library), and Jacqueline Blanchard (UQP).
The anniversary celebrations were greatly aided by work placement student Adibah Nasiman, who designed the anniversary collateral and gave the celebrations their striking colour palette, and intern Jasmin McGregor, who undertook much of the development of the digital history of AustLit, particularly the archival research. You can learn more about both Adibah and Jasmin on the digital history landing page.
Our thanks to Nick Caldwell for the modified #AustLit20 logo and the images on the landing page and digital history menu.
Finally, no history of AustLit would be complete without a special and deeply sincere thank you to inaugural director Kerry Kilner, who was involved with AustLit from inception and stepped away from the role at the end of 2020, but whose guidance of AustLit is utterly integral to our celebrating this milestone.
