History
Presented annually at the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC), the awards are presented to documentary film-makers.
The awards were established in 2021, but the pre-existing Stanley Hawes Award, for outstanding contribution to Australian documentary, is given in parallel with the AIDC Awards.
