Author's note: Townsville Bulletin, Saturday May 4, 2019: On the front page, 'THE Carmichael coal project could be delayed up to five years after the Palaszczuk Government demanded Adani count the precise number of black-throated finches living on the property.' On the letters page, 'Mr floppy 4814' refers to the black-throated finch as 'the most powerful bird in Australia'. I make a collage of the many references that day in support of Adani and mining coal. Two weeks later, Saturday May 18, 2019, another tally. (Excerpts from found poem and rejoinder interlaced)
