'Her feet pounded on the packed earth and pine needles, a staccato beat that rocked through her aching head with every step. The moon hung heavy in the sky, bloated and vividly red on the horizon, casting an eerie glow to the woods.

'Somewhere behind her, the pale light from the warehouse windows was long lost to the darkness, but she could still see the writing on her arm as she continued to run, as stark against her skin as it had been in the light of inside.
