Fowler , 2019 17359152 2019 single work biography 'Archibald J Fowler The Rooster of Williamstown by Kerry J Fowler traces Archibald's family heritage from the reign of King Charles I of England, Ireland and Scotland to the arrival of his four grandparents in Williamstown, Victoria, Australia in the 1850s.
'Archibald was nick named 'Chook' as invariably were all Fowler men by their mates. But lawyer, community leader, historian and sportsman Archibald was no chook. He definitely was a rooster.
'This biography traces Archibald's family achievements and contributions, giving insight into a Williamstown full of opportunities and dreams. The Rooster was launched at the Williamstown Library in the City of Hobson's Bay in March 2019 and has 'put real faces and lives to past relatives that could have just been book entries. A great effort and no small achievement either!''
