'His skin's like elastic. The lines beside his mouth reach up to the corners of his eyes, folding into themselves when he smiles, like origami. She remembers when he pulled it out from his neck, a thin sheet of pink, just to prove how far it could stretch. The only party trick she knows is how to roll her tongue, but he wasn't impressed.
