'East Berlin - 1982: "Shortly after a West German tourist, Kristin Neumann was observed by two undercover Stasi agents as he left Café Moskau; the body of Stasi Kurt Müller was discovered in sordid circumstances. Investigator, Comrade Tomas Zimmerman quickly orders a hunt for the alleged murderer. Ruthless Agent Inge Becker heads the Stasi hunt in capitalistic Europe with orders to execute Neumann. Once MI6 intelligence gets wind of the hunt for Neumann, they assign him the code, 'Polaris' and join in the frantic hunt. Travellers, James and Katherine are also sucked into the violent vortex. Throughout, a mole within MI6 thwarts their efforts and will keep the reader guessing until the last. The Hunt for Code Polaris is set in the historical Cold War era and examines the wide reaching web of surveillance. Indirectly the novel may raise questions about the contemporary political arena and the extent to which governments may pry into citizens' lives.'
