AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Orphaned, Ludmiller struggles to maintain the unity of her family when their heroin addict older brother, D, returns from rehab. Upon his surprise arrival home, her twin, Susha, and younger brother, Ivan, are eager to forget the misdeeds of the past - but Ludmiller cannot, knowing the true, hidden extent of D's abuse. The fragile reunion is hindered when Ludmiller's old flame Jon comes home after military service and old wounds are reopened. Things escalate when Ludmiller tries to help a boy escape an abusive relationship with D's old drug dealer. Her interference causes the whole family to become embroiled in D's old world of violence and addiction, and only once they overcome their past and reconcile, can they escape the present danger.
