'Scott Kennedy is a Ngiyampaa man from Condobolin in New South Wales, who was born in the 1970s and was settling into his childhood when his family moved to Mount Druitt. Growing up Scott's life was hard as part of a single-parent family that lived in poverty and experienced violence. Later, as a Kings Cross kid, he turned to drugs, which led to him ending up in prison in his youth. In his mid-twenties, he moved to Adelaide, got off drugs, and worked in construction, bands and stand-up comedy. In 2017, unexpected circumstances led Scott back to prison where he is now writing a memoir of his childhood that he hopes to publish after his release in 2021.'
