BiographyHistory

Aunty Fay Muir has worked with the Victorian Aboriginal Corporation for Languages, teaching juveniles in detention and working on the preservation of the Boon Wurrung language. She works with a community linguist and presents language workshops in the community. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education (Primary) and has also trained and worked as a nurse.

She was the lead artist for the Wemba Wemba cloak and wore it at the Opening Ceremony of the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games. Aunty Fay worked under the cultural guidance of Boonwurrung Elder, Carolyn Briggs.
