The information in Australian Colonial Narrative Journalism can be searched, exported and downloaded for further analysis.

The primary sorting has been done according to the names of writers. Where writers have existing entries in Austlit, the information about their narrative journalism, with links to their work, has been added under an “Affiliation Note”. This means an advanced search linking, for example, subject matter and writers, will result in a list of all the writers’ work, fiction and non-fiction, on that subject. However, searches can be done within the Australian Colonial Narrative Journalism project using parameters such as gender, decade of birth and genre (e.g. satire).
