AbstractHistoryArchive Description
'This Is an unusual drama, which, at the outset, appears to have a very usual setting — namely, a guest house at a coastal resort. The chief characters are a down-and-out actor and an affianced young woman, who has just won £100 in a competition. This money is the dominant symbol in a story which seems to be shaping merely as a whimsical character-interlude, but suddenly takes a startlingly dramatic turn.'
