An adaptation of 西遊記 (Journey to the West), one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature, The Legend of Monkey 'follows a teenage girl and a trio of fallen gods on a perilous journey as they attempt to bring an end to a demonic reign of chaos and restore balance to their world.'

I watched a serialised, Chinese drama version of wo hu chang long (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), a far cry from the English version that was pedalled out to the Western world.
