BiographyHistory

Nicolas Brasch is a corporate writer and novelist with more than 15 years’ experience as a teacher of corporate writing, workshop facilitator and novelist. He’s delivered writing and communication workshops for many corporations, government departments, SMEs and Not-for-profit organisations in various online content roles. Previous clients include the Australian Communications and Media Authority and Asteron.

Nicolas is also the founder of the corporate writing company, Writers in Residence, and is the author of many children’s non-fiction books, several of which have won national and international awards. Nicolas Brasch was shortlisted for the 2011 Eve Pownall Award for his book Theme Parks, Playgrounds and Toys (2010).

Nicolas was also the founder of The Garret, and host of The Garret Podcast from 2016 to 2018. He teaches at Swinburne University and is the Chair of Writers Victoria. In 2019, he participated in Melbourne Jewish Book Week.

Season 1 launched on 3 November 2016 and was shortlisted for the inaugural Cast Away Australian Podcast Awards in early 2017. Season 2 launched on 2 March 2017 and features leading writers from across Australia. 

Every episode is published alongside show notes and transcripts to increase educational value and access.
