Author's note: 'Last summer saw some unprecedented extremes of weather in Australia. The state of Victoria, where I live, suffered drought and a heat wave which contributed to devastating bushfires. Meanwhile, the state of Queensland was practically underwater, enduring widespread flooding. Is this a sign of things to come? Climate change is a serious issue. But the future, is still unwritten. how climate change will progress is dependent on how we act now. Not just governments, but also ordinary people. Future Dreaming is my attempt to show that the actions of everyone, including kids, are important to the future of our planet.' (p.159)
