BiographyHistory

Kathrine 'Kat' Clarke is a writer, artist, Indigenous consultant, and a proud Wotjobaluk woman from the Wimmera. She graduated from RMIT with a speciality in writing, and has since combined writing with art, acting, and film. She created a short documentary film, The Ancestral Body, capturing the stories of Elders in Victorian Aboriginal Communities, which was screened nationwide. She was also a contributor to NITV's collection of work by Indigenous women writers for International Women's Day in 2017, Woman's Way : A Collection of Stories, Poems and Short Essays by First Nations' Women.

In 2018, Clarke was co-facilitator of Blak Writers Victoria and a member of the Emerging Writers' Festival program advisory committee.
