Content Summary

– Film and tape going back to the start of the Ballarat station in 1962, mostly news and also some local programs (e.g. variety shows such as "Six Tonight", children’s programs and sporting events), 1962-present

– Some historical material also from sister station in Shepparton. More recent material from across the state is digital and primarily held in Ballarat, which compiles bulletins for the different regions of Victoria (Ballarat, Bendigo, Gippsland, Shepparton, Mildura and Albury/Wodonga)

– Scripts and associated documents for recent years only

– Selection of studio and promotional photographs, 1962-present

Generally access to researchers is not available as the archive is not organised for external use. There is no viewing equipment at WIN for film and some older formats of video tape.

WIN Victoria regularly sends material to the National Film and Sound Archive, which can be found in the Archive’s online catalogue.
