Content Summary

  • Extensive archive of news footage going back to the start of the station in 1962, mostly digitised and all catalogued, 1962-present
  • Samples of local programs from the past (for e.g. women’s and children’s programs, variety, sport, blooper tapes and so on), 1962-present
  • Digital recordings of current and recent programs, such as "Hook Line and Sinker", sporting or other event coverage, lifestyle series, such as the "Beer Show" (2010), tourism programs, and so on, 1970s-present
  • Compilations of publicity material, articles about station milestones and photographs of events, functions, celebrities and so on, 1962-present


Southern Cross Tasmania, part of Southern Cross Austereo, is affiliated to the 7 Network, which provides much of the station’s programming.

The National Film and sound Archive holds Southern Cross Tasmania material (mainly under its former name TNT9).
