Foxtel began providing subscription television to Australians in 1995. It now delivers more than 200 channels on cable and satellite.
A selection of Foxtel programs is being transferred to digital beta tape and lodged with the National Film and Sound Archive, as part of the “Reflections” archive project, begun in 2007. Foxtel oral histories being done as part of the project can also be accessed via the NFSA.
Access to some programs can only be given with permission of the specific channel that produced the program of interest. Requests to access company documents must be addressed to Legal Affairs.
