  • Manuscript written by his nephew Niall Brennan in 1954 based on notebooks of memoirs by William Adrian Brennan about federal figures such as Joseph Cook, Andrew Fisher and Keith Murdoch


William Adrian Brennan was a journalist for "The Argus" in Melbourne.

From 1901 he was a member of the federal parliamentary press gallery, then situated in Melbourne, writing under the name of "Ariel", and from 1927 until his retirement in 1939, he was chief leader writer for that newspaper.
