Weekly Report - Week 10, 7 July 2000
What I've done
- The rework of the data model to include the work/expression/manifestation
concepts from FRBR has been completed.
- Preparation of a "where we are up to" presentation on the
technology aspects of ALEG to the Partners group meeting, Hobart 8 July.
This presentation is available in PowerPoint
format. (If you don't have PowerPoint 97 or later installed,
you can downloaded a free
viewer from Microsoft.)
- Further development of screen mockups for
data maintenance.
- Contacted Endeavor
for more information on ENCompass.
What I haven't done but need to do soon!
- Talk to the NLA about their use of Blue Angel
- Talk to ALM/MLA/TW about thesaurus structure, write something up
on this for general discussion
Next week
- Meetings with Partners and Judith Pearce (NLA).
- Update data model with feedback from Partners meeting and meeting
with Annette, Kerry, Sally and Judith Pearce

- Produce draft specification with explicit list of issues
requiring clarification/decisions from the Partners group.
Summary

After incorporating feedback from the Partners and Judith Pearce meetings
into the data model, I will start producing a document which specifies
our design in detail.
I'll highlight all the issues requiring decisions each with some options
and suggested approach.
