Dedication: I dedicate this book to all my Aboriginal elders whose life was torn apart by the invasion of white Australia, and despite being forced to live in reserves, missions and settlements by removal orders, surviving in fringe towns, still had the courage to adapt with modern civilisation so we the Aboriginal people of today could compete with and have the benefits of living in today's Australia as a part of the wider Australian multicultural society. Also I thank the Family Services and Aboriginal and Islander Affairs Minister, Anne Warner for making this book possible and last but not least I thank the Aboriginal people and the white supporters, without these people, Aboriginal Australia could not have advanced to this stage where we are now accepted as a part of the multicultural society of Australia. Ii give special thanks to Commissioner Helen Twohill and the staff of the Queensland Human Rights Commission for the understanding of the pressures I am faced with and supporting me in everyday working conditions. Cec Fisher.
