Note that E. Morris Miller's Australian Literature From its Beginnings to 1935 (1940) attributes this work to Harriet Patchett Martin (q.v.). However, Miller and Macartney's Australian Literature : A Bibliography (1956) does not include this as one of Martin's works, and instead lists it separately. Some doubt exists as to whether Martin was in fact connected with this work, either as editor, compiler, or contributor. Notably,
