On Stage began as the quarterly newsletter of the Victoria Theatres Trust. Since the summer 2009 edition it has been published by Theatre Heritage Australia Inc. Each issue typically comprises a selection of items ranging from profiles, biographies, articles relating to general theatre history or the history of specific theatres, current or past productions (including overseas productions of Australian works or tours by Australian companies), obituaries and current events.

Using 19th Australian newspapers and other sources, Jill Dimond traces the Australian career of actress, spiritualist and lecturer Lotti Wilmot. Dimond refers to her fruitless search to trace a copy of Wilmot's memoir Beds I Have Slept In - a book probably detailing Wilmot's Australian years. To date no extant copy has been found..
