Full biographical information is only available to AustLit Subscribers. A truncated and unformatted biographical extract follows: Laurence Collinson migrated to Australia in 1930 with his family. He was educated at primary and secondary schools in Melbourne, Sydney, Dalby and Brisbane. After completing a secondary teaching diploma at Merrer House, Melbourne, and teaching mathematics and English at Melbourne secondary schools between 1955 and 1961, he worked as the editor of a teachers' journal, The Educational Magazine, until 1964.
