BiographyHistory

Guy Ernest Morton Eden was the son of Charles Henry Eden (q.v.) and, although born in Australia, lived most of his life in England.

  • Note: The Oxford Companion to Australian Literature states that, in addition to the novels listed in AustLit - which have Australian settings - Eden 'wrote numerous works of fiction'. An exhaustive bibliographical search has not located these works. Eden did, however, write the librettos of two operas, 'The Prentice Pillar' (1897) and 'The Mountaineers' (1909), with music by Reginald Somerville.
