BiographyHistory

Jonathan Stammers Waddell established the Launceston Examiner newspaper in 1842 with the Reverend John West and James Aikenhead. He was a joint proprietor on the paper until his death in December 1857. After his death his nephew Henry Button bought one of the two remaining proprietorships.
