BiographyHistory

Mr Williams is recorded by the editor of the Australasian Chronicle as formerly a lieutenant in the 9th Regiment of Bombay Native Infantry. An extract from an appeal in verse to Lady Gipps, the wife of Sir George Gipps the governor of New South Wales, 1838-1846, by Williams was published in the Australasian Chronicle, 28 April 1840.
