BiographyHistory

Billy Shepherd worked in Darwin for a man named Charles Herbert in the early 1900s and assissted in the evacuation of people during the bombing of Darwin in the Second World War. During the evacuation, his daughters were taken to New South Wales where they remained for a number of years without seeing their father again. While working at Government House Billy Shepherd met Ruby Ababa and they had a daughter together named Molly Dungalimba (qq.v.) who was taken from their custody and raised on Croker Island Mission.
