George Hall was a 19th century Queensland journalist. In the early 1860s he was briefly connected with the Toowoomba Chronicle, but he subsequently moved to Brisbane, where he worked on the Queensland Guardian, the Brisbane Courier and then the Telegraph. Hall was editor of the Telegraph from 1874 to 1878 and again from 1880 until he retired in 1885. Following a visit to England in 1886, he continued to write articles for the Telegraph. Hall became well known for his column 'Odd Notes by a Bohemian', which he began during his time at the Brisbane Courier, and later took to the Telegraph.
