BiographyHistory

Actor, writer.

Associated with the Royal Victoria Theatre, Sydney, during the early to mid-1840s. Simmons' appeared in several locally written productions during this period, including The Sham Catalani in Little Puddleton (1842, q.v.) and The Currency Lass (1844, q.v.). He also wrote/adapted the three act drama, The Duelist (1844) for the Royal Victoria Theatre company.
