A truncated and unformatted biographical extract follows: Nigel Starck has directed the University of South Australia's MA (Communication) Program in the Asia Pacific teaching non-fiction. As a journalist and documentary filmmaker, he wrote for a UK newspaper group for four years, served as the ABC's South-East Asia correspondent, and operated his own media consultancy.
