A truncated and unformatted biographical extract follows: Rowan Gibbs (MA(Hons) in Greek, 1969) studied and briefly taught Classics at Victoria University of Wellington before becoming a secondhand bookseller in the 1970s, owner of Smith's Bookshop Limited in Wellington from 1987. He has published some twenty annotated book sale catalogues, a bibliographical catalogue of The Swiss Family Robinson, articles on New Zealand literature in Kite and Kotare, compiler of the exhibition catalogue The Art of the Book (Wellington, N.Z.: Book Arts Society, 1990) a....To gain full access to the AustLit database become a subscriber. |
