BiographyHistory

Jan Martin was the son of writer David Martin and his wife Richenda (qq.v.). He was born in England during the Second World War. After a year spent in India, the Martin family settled in Australia in 1949. Jan Martin studied architecture and became a town planner. Artistically gifted, he illustrated two of his father's books. He died in 1999.
