BiographyHistory

Sheva Glas-Weiner was born in Radoszyce, Poland, and trained at a teachers' seminary in Poland and was a teacher in a Jewish orphanage in Lodz Ghetto from 1940-1942. She spent the rest of the war in Auschwitz and Stutthof concentration camps, after which she and 3000 fellow women prisoners were put to sea on a ship which was loaded with explosives and set alight. She was one of a handful of survivors.
