A brief biographical note accompanied by a portrait of the author appears in The Home: An Australian Quarterly (September 1922). The caption reads: 'Mrs Agatha Christie, who has the unique distinction of being the pioneer of women detective story-writers. She has had two of these published by John Lane, and her The Mysterious Affair at Styles was accepted by The Times as a serial for its weekly edition...Mrs Christie, after a brief visit to Australia, is now en route for London with her husband, Colonel Christie, who is occupied with the organisation of the Australian section of the huge British Empire Exhibition to be held in London in the autumn of 1924.' (p. 66) The issue also contains a short story by Agatha Christie, 'The Wife of the Kenite' (pp. 28, 96).
