BiographyHistory

Known primarily as a printmaker, artist and illustrator, Sussex graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1938 with a BA (Hons), and returned to graduate again in 1983 after majoring in painting and printmaking. Her works are held in the National Gallery of Australia and in overseas collections. Sussex was a member of the Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors. She is the mother of Lucy Sussex and Roly Sussex (qq.v.).
