Ernie Dingo attributes his entertainment beginnings to being a talented basketballer who was selected for the WA State team in the 1970s. During this period he joined The Middar Aboriginal Dance Theatre and began working as a stand-up comedian and then as an actor. He has also been a musician and songwriter and has appeared in a number of Australian films and in televison soap operas. He is well known as a host on the TV program The Great Outdoors.....
