A Story a Week

The short story form is well-supported by the Review of Australian Fiction. The series, now in its second volume, offers 'two stories every two weeks from Australia's best authors'. The stories are downloadable as eBooks, and each issue costs $2.99. A cheaper way to go is to subscribe: you can get six issues for $12.99, a saving of $4.95 on the cover price of $17.94.

The current issue, no. 6, has 'Sangfroid' by Wendy James and 'In The Shade' by Felicity Plunkett. The previous issue, no. 5, offered Venero Armanno's 'Sugarbaby' and Lisa Walker's 'Blossom'.

Writers published in previous issues were:

  • Issue 1: Bruce Pascoe and Marie Munkara
  • Issue 2: Linda Jaivin and Daniel Ducrou
  • Issue 3: James Bradley and Rebecca Giggs
  • Issue 4: Inez Baranay and Daniel Stephensen

The six issues from volume one, featuring Georgia Blain and Kim Wilkins, among others, are still available from the RAF archive.
