'[1840s house in Stanley now known as "Poet's Cottage" ] when retired teacher and farmer Lin Eldridge lived there and courted Marguerite Close with volumes of poetry. His poetry obviously had the desired effect, as they've been married some time and live at Gull Cottage further along the Terrace.
