BiographyHistory

An Aboriginal Elder in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, Cissy Djiagween worked at the Nulugnu laundry at the John of God convent. She has also co-authored Laundry Stories (1999), a collection of eight Gospel stories which retell biblical texts in the 'Broome way'. This book has not yet been traced.
