BiographyHistory

Megan McKinlay grew up in Bendigo, Victoria. She spent a year in Japan as an exchange student during her secondary education and later completed a PhD in Japanese literature at the University of Western Australia. McKinlay has taught literature, Japanese and creative writing at tertiary level. Her poetry has appeared in a range of Australian journals and she has also written children's and young adult books (as Meg McKinlay).
