Harland Robson, his wife Viola, and youngest daughter Elizabeth left England to followed his oldest child Denise and her husband to settle in Melbourne. Robson worked in various jobs in factories, golf clubs and security. His poems on life in general and life in Australia were sent to his son Robert who remained in England, and who, with his wife Margaret, gathered them together in book form.
