BiographyHistory

Ken Attiwill was a journalist on the Adelaide Register, the Sun and Herald (both Melbourne) and the Daily Sketch (London). During the Second World War, he was a Prisoner of War of the Japanese. His novels draw on his experiences in journalism, at war and at sea. Attiwill was resident in England for some years after World War II. He was married to Evadne Price and is the brother of Keith Attiwill.

  • A play entitled 'Sayonara' is mentioned in the list of other publications in the Frederick Muller's The Singapore Story (1959) and the US edition Fortress, but has not been traced.
