Maya Tucker describes Dugdale as 'the pioneer of woman's suffrage in Victoria'. - La Trobe Library Journal, No. 15 1975, p.60. Dugdale was the President of the first Victorian Women's Suffrage Society, which formed on 22 June 1884.
