BiographyHistory

Dick Diamond was active in the Workers' Theatre Group, Melbourne, and the Communist Party during the 1930s, 40s and 50s. He was secretary of Actors Equity, Victorian Division, for many years. He wrote 'agit-prop' [a contraction of the words 'agitatsiia' or 'agitation', and 'propaganda] and politically motivated drama.
