BiographyHistory

Geoffrey Dean did not see himself as a writer until late in his life. He worked around the world in a variety of jobs - more than fifty including lumberjack, dairy farmer and social worker. Geoffrey Dean's short stories have been published in China, Norway, the UK, and the USA as well as Australia. He has written film, radio and TV scripts and published many newspaper and journal articles. Dean also compiled a textbook, Cold Dead Monday and Other Australian Stories (1984) which gives an insight into short story writing. His story, 'The Town that Died', was made into an ABC film.
