Notes

  • Dedication: This book is for Ardy and is also dedicated to all of the radical lesbian feminists, the socialist feminists, the dykes and lesbians who took an active part in the Women's Liberation Movement in Victoria in the 1980s and to the memory of those lesbians who have died.
  • Author's note: Here in Australia we are always living and walking on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Land surrounded by the Waters of these same Aboriginal and Islander people.

Where I live in Brunswick East, the land belongs to the Wurundjeriwillam clan of the Woiworung language group of the Kulin Nation. I hereby pay my respect to and recognise these Indigenous peoples as the traditional owners and custodians of the land I live on. I acknowledge their sovereignty and their inalienable right of self determination.
