This brief column welcomes the start of Bell's Life in Sydney and Sporting Reviewer newspaper 'at the commencement of the next year, [1845] under the management of Dr. Johnson'. The writer comments that the paper 'if conducted in the style of its prototype, Pierce Egan's chef d'ouvre, will much conduce to raise our drooping spirits these dull times.'Note: Article appears towards the end of the second column on page 3 of the newspaper.
