AbstractHistoryArchive Description

A column canvassing current literary news including a report on the publication of Rosalind Appleby's Women of Note, a collection of short biographies of Australian women composers. One of the composers, Moya Henderson, did not want to be included in the book. Susan Wyndham writes that Appleby 'felt she could not leave out such an important composer'.

Post-publication, Henderson reached an agreement with Fremantle Press for her chapter to be removed from any future reprints.
